Walt Disney and his business partner-brother Roy were heading a Hollywood film studio before their idea of a theme park formed. Walt Disney's original concept was of a permanent family fun park minus the "negative element", which he felt traveling carnivals often attracted. While on outings with his daughters Dianne and Sharon, Walt realized there were no parks with activities both parents and children could enjoy together.

Well, since it's October, Halloween Time at Disneyland has started. One of the main events going on is: "Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party" - For kids, the only thing more fun than trick or treating at Halloween, is trick or treating at Mickey's Trick-or-Treat party, a private event in Disney's California Adventure Park. This costume party lets all little ghosts and goblins(pirates, princess, etc) join some Disney characters for an evening of Halloween fun. Collect candy, ride attractions, enjoy live music, and games, and more. They also have cool alluring attractions such as the: "Haunted Mansion Holiday" "Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror" "Woody's Halloween Round Up" and much more! I'm not sure of anything about celebrities coming, but those are the main special events going on at Disneyland right now. Hope I helped!:3 P.S. I encountered a similar situation when I read on their site that the Haunted Mansion was going to be closed because they were switching it over from the regular decor to the nightmare before Christmas decor. When I got to the park and asked a cast member (immediately upon arrival.I couldn t wait to get across the park to the ride), they told me the ride had just opened that day, when the web site said it was supposed to be closed for another 4 days. So.check with a cast member if you go regardless of what the site says. Another way to check into the status is their Guest Services line. 714 - 781-7290. They may be able to provide you with more up-to-date information. Still, don t get your hopes up. There are always rides closed in the park. Just enjoy the ones that ARE open.and have fun! I m super jealous - I can t wait to visit Disneyland again!
